For Laboratory Professionals
The PLAC Test ELISA Kit
The diaDexus PLAC® Test is available in ELISA format that is FDA-cleared for the quantitative determination of Lp-PLA2 (lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2) in human plasma or serum, to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation and patient risk assessment as an aid in predicting risk for coronary heart disease, and ischemic stroke associated with atherosclerosis.
The PLAC Test ELISA format is a microplate-based enzyme immunoassay. This test format is based on the principle of an enzyme-linked sandwich immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using two highly specific monoclonal antibodies. The PLAC Test ELISA format must be run in a CLIA-certified high-complexity laboratory.
Visit the Specimen Collection & Preparation page to find out some basic information on sample processing.
